Volunteer under Studiestartfestivalen

What does it mean to be a volunteer? What do we expect from you?

We offer a wide range of different volunteer jobs. You do not need to have any prior festival experience, but we hope you have a contagious good mood, whether the sun is shining or it is raining cats and dogs. We expect you to show up on time and contribute to the best of your ability until your work session is over. As a reward, you get a free festival pass, food during your shift, a volunteer party, an addition to your CV, new friends and we guarantee you an unforgettable experience, great music, eternal gratitude and then some.

What do you get back?

  • Free festival pass
  • Food under your shift
  • Free entrance to Horten Food & Beer festival (Horten Mat og Ølfestival)
  • Invitation to a volunteer party

What kind of jobs can I get?

Here are some tasks you can get as a volunteer:

Bar // tap and sell beer, soda, snacks and other bar merch to our guests

Rigging // up or dismantling of fences, tents, etc. There is a lot of lifting, carrying and running around. Bring some clothes to work in and good shoes.

Sales // Selling vouchers for food and alcohol, selling tickets at the gate

Technical // Help with the technical, maybe after the festival take over as chief technical.

Security // Controlling wrist-bands at the gate, ensure nobody enters or leave the festival with alcohol, controlling fences and ensure that everyone is doing well at the festival.

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that everybody will get exactly the job they want or the days they want to work, but we will do our very best to make sure that happens.

How much do I work?

You work one day and then get free admission to the rest of the festival.
